Fortune 50 Financial Institution

Brief scope of the project
A Fortune 50 Financial Institution contracted with Opera to develop a means to access a database of pricing tools, trading vehicles, and security information. The client was looking for improved performance, rapid go-to-market strategies, lower costs and the ability to address downstream subsystem changes.

What tools did we use to accomplish the project?
The Opera team used Java, J2EE, Stream Frameworks, JMS, SOAP, and an Oracle database to develop from scratch a comprehensive solution to address all the above-mentioned business problems. Connectivity between pricing tools was a critical piece to the success of the project and a focus for our technical team. The team was instrumental in integrating a Windows based application deployed into a Linux core.

What was the business impact?
The company has experienced triple digit growth in trading securities, retirement product portfolios and customer investment.
